A. Getting started with Raspberry Pi (1 hour)
– Board information
– Layout
– I/O
– Connectivity

B. Installing Raspbian OS (2 hours)
– Creating OS image
– Setup wifi, SSH, file sharing

C. Basic Linux (2 hours)
– Basic commands

D. Basic Python (2 hours)
– Basic programming with python
– Executing python program

E. Interfacing (3 hours)
– Hardware
– Serial

F. Application development (4 hours)
– Deploying program on start
– Webserver
– Camera
– Motor control
– Display


A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).

A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

Applicants should have basic programming skills and basic electronics knowledge

Course Fees

Course fee is payable upon acceptance. It is inclusive of 7% GST and subject to review.

Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)
