Course Information

Acquire knowledge and skills to be able to undertake the role of a Fire Safety Manager

Learning Outcomes

This course is designed to train participants in various fire safety requirements and measures to enable them to undertake the role of a Fire Safety Manager.

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the importance of fire safety and fire safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate the operation and maintenance of various fire protection systems, equipment and
    fire fighting facilities.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of fire safety managers.

8 & 11,14 & 16, and 28 June 2021 (Theory Exam)
10 July 2021 (Project Submission)

Application Period: 7 May to 19 May 2021

Frequency: 2 days a week (Tue and Fri)

Time: 6.30pm to 9.30pm

Trainer's Profile

Jason Chew

Jason Chew has Senior Fire Safety Manager certification and has many years of experience as a Fire Safety Manager overseeing fire safety in hotels, industrial, public and commercial buildings.

Jason graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Facility Management from Heriot-Watt University.

Certification

This course involves assessment. An Accredited Training Institution (ATI) Certificate for Fire Safety Manager will be issued to participants who:

1) Achieve at least 80% class attendance; and

2) Pass the assessments.

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

Entry requirements have been waived by SCDF for MOE Operations Managers
