Learning Outcomes
This module will provide learners with the tools to perform desktop market research by themselves such that they will be able to infer and forecast, from various supply and demand drivers, how the market trends will unfold over the short term (e.g. next 1-3 years).
Learners will explore the various sources of market data and get a basic understanding of research methods used in real estate market studies. It will be complemented by some basic knowledge of statistics and quantitative techniques.
Learners will be given exercises to gain hands-on experience in collecting and analysing real estate market data.

Trainer's Profile
Mr Harold Tan has 40 years of experience covering all sectors of the real estate market. He has held senior positions in real estate conglomerates such as Keppel Land, Ascendas, Frasers Property, Jones Lang LaSalle and JTC Corporation.
In his current role as Director(Real Estate Strategies & Advisory) in Vestasia Pte Ltd , he carries out real estate consultancy, market and feasability studies and formulates strategies for real estate developers, real estate investment trusts (REITS), private funds and family offices. He studies business and tech trends that affect real estate and monitors changes in the market place. He examines how businesses are evolving with digital technology, identifies market opportunities and gaps, exit strategies, unique marketing mix relevant to changing consumer/customer expectations and watches for new usage of space and business models that disrupt traditional uses and leases. His experience spans mixed use commercial developments, serviced residences, shopping malls, hi-tech business parks and mega townships in China, ASEAN countries, India and Australia.
He was a professor in real estate development and market analysis at the National University of Singapore. He has also taught at Dubai Real Estate Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Temasek Wealth Management Institute (Singapore), Asian Institute of Management (Manila) and University Ateneo de Manila.
Certification
For courses with assessment, a Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement and pass all required assessment(s).
A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).
Participants registered with professional bodies will be awarded the following:

Entry Requirements
- Applicants should preferably have a real estate salesperson license.
- Applicants interested in market forecasting and investments in stocks, properties, mutual funds etc.
- Public and industry professionals are all welcome to attend this CPD Course.
- Property agents serving customers who invest in properties.
- Real estate salespersons with more than 2 years in active property transactions for themselves or clients.
- Property Agencies, owners, KEOs, Investment Department executives, en-bloc or collective sales property agents.
Course Fees
