Course Information

Understand what is Distributed Pumping System, how it should be designed, and explain why it is a preferred pumping system for the future.

Certification


A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).

A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).


A copy of 300 pages ASHRAE training book by Steven Taylor titled “Fundamentals of Design and Control of Central Chilled-Water Plants” will be provided free of charge as part of the course materials.

Entry Requirements

As this course involves a substantial amount of technical content, applicants should preferably have a diploma or degree in mechanical or relevant engineering. Applicants would benefit more if they have fundamental knowledge and prior experience on areas as follows:
(i) Central chilled water air-conditioning systems design
(ii) Hydronic pumping systems and hydraulic principles
(iii) Basic energy consumption and efficiency calculation
(iv) Control and operation of central chilled water air-conditioning systems

Course Fees

Funding period for this course is from 6 Aug 2020 to 30 Sep 2024.
