Course Objectives

The Singapore real estate market is influenced by numerous factors, such as government policies, state of the economy and global trends. In order to do well in this exciting industry, Real Estate Salesperson (RES) needs to have good knowledge of these factors. RES will then be able to ensure legal compliance in real estate transactions and provides a high standard of service and professionalism with the best interest of their clients in mind.

In terms of delivery, there will be interactive sessions for learners to gain competency and knowledge on real estate practices and property-related matters. There will also be practical case studies and assessments to deepen learners understanding of the real estate market and their role as a RES.

The RES course is a prerequisite to taking the Real Estate Salesperson Examination. Upon passing this mandatory examination and the fulfilment of all other requirements laid down by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA), individuals will be eligible to apply for RES registration.

Course Description

Trainees will be able to:
1.   Developed comprehension of the CEA’s Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Examination syllabus and the learning objectives.

2.   Develop competency to operate as a Real Estate Salesperson (RES) with in-depth knowledge of the real estate market as well as real estate concepts such as real estate law, real estate planning and development control.

3.   Develop knowledge of real estate policies and regulations.

4.   Able to perform his or her duties as an ethical and professional Real Estate Salesperson (RES).

The role of an RES is crucial as he or she is expected to have a good knowledge of these factors and ensure legal compliance in order to promote a high standard of service and professionalism in the real estate industry and best serve the needs of their clients.

The RES course is a prerequisite to taking the Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Examination. Upon passing this mandatory examination and fulfilment of all other requirements laid down by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA), participants are eligible to apply for RES registration.

In an interactive session, participants will learn the basic competency and knowledge about the real estate agency industry and property-related matters. Through practical case studies and useful assessments, participants will deepen their understanding the real estate market and their role as an RES and how they can contribute to a highly dynamic market both professionally and ethically.
