Course Information

This course introduces participants to the fundamental concepts of flying, airplane design and construction, propulsion and various flight instruments / displays in the cockpit.

Trainer's Profile

Chung Koh Choon

Mr. Chung Koh Choon graduated from the University of New South Wales (Australia) with a First Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also obtained three Master of Science (MSc) degrees from 2 universities, one from Naval Postgraduate School (USA) in Mechanical Engineering, and the other two from National University of Singapore in Defence Technology & Systems and Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Chung has been a full-time lecturer with the Polytechnic since 2011. He is currently teaching in several aerospace engineering modules in School of Engineering. In terms of continuing education for adult learners, he is coordinating the part time Diploma in Engineering (Aerospace) as well as teaching some of the courses.

Prior to joining Ngee Ann Polytechnic, he worked in the aerospace design office for 13 years as aircraft design & analysis engineer/manager.

Certification

This is a course with no assessment.

Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should preferably be currently working in a technical field for more than 2 years

Course Fees

SkillsFuture Credit
