*The SkillsFuture Work-Study Programme is for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are within three years of (i) graduation from the Polytechnics or the (ii) Operationally Ready Date for full-time National Servicemen.

For Participating Companies
About SkillsFuture Work-Study Post-Diploma Programme
The SkillsFuture Work-Study Post-Diploma Programme (WSP) is a work-study programme designed to give fresh graduates from Polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) a career head-start related to their field of study. This programme provides candidates with more opportunities to deepen the knowledge and skills acquired in school and to better support their transition into the workforce through on-the-job training and mentorship.
The SkillsFuture Work-Study Post-Diploma Programme is carried out in collaboration with industry to ensure relevance to employers and to support growth sectors.
Information for Participating Companies
Participating companies support fresh polytechnic/ITE graduates on the SkillsFuture Work-Study Post-Diploma Programme by providing the following:
- Offer full time employment with defined job role and competitive starting salary
- Assign a mentor to provide quality mentorship
- Structured on the job training to provide quality workplace training
- Develop a 2 year career development plan to provide career advancement pathway (based on job performance)
- Offer full sponsorship of course fees for the Specialist Diploma (12 month programme) or Advanced Diploma (18 month programme)
Participating companies will be eligible to receive a grant of up to $15,000 per candidate (Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident) who have been employed and successfully placed on the SkillsFuture Work-Study Post-Diploma Programme:
For Employers (hiring Singapore Citizens / Permanent Resident candidates)
Capability Building
Mentor Grant – $5,000 per candidate
On-the-Job Training (OJT) Blueprint Development Grant – $5,000 per blueprint per unique job
Administrative
Administrative Grant – $2,000 per candidate
Opportunity Cost
Additional OJT Grant – $15 per hour, capped at $5,000 per candidate, subject to the approved proposal
Overseas Attachment Training Grant – Up to 90% of invoice cost for airfare and accommodation, capped at $8,000 per candidate
Overall Cap for Employer is $15,000 per candidate.
