Lesson Plan
One of the many benefits of Power BI is that it empowers end-users by allowing them to build advanced data analytics processes without technical or programming
proficiencies. This scenario will walk through the design of data models and the creation of the needed visualizations.
This scenario will look at the massive Power BI ecosystem which includes desktop
applications, cloud-based services and connectors. The collaboration between these
tools makes the creation of reports and dashboards possible.
Microsoft equips Power BI with an ability to connect into varying types of data sources whether on-premise or cloud instances. This scenario will explore the different ways a connection can be established via R script or SaaS connectors.
Developers building an enterprise application can take advantage of the Power BI’s
collection of libraries (APIs) by embedding a data analytic report into their business
applications. This scenario will cover the APIs to make this integration possible
Power BI mobile app enables access and use of Power BI information on a mobile
device. Reports created using mobility tools can be accessed anywhere, at any time
and on any devices. This scenario covers using Power BI on mobile devices to support offline report viewing and access to notifications across all services.
