Course Information

This is an 8-hour short course that introduces participants to positive psychology theories such as growth mindset and self-determination theory. Participants will learn how such theories can build the foundation to helping youths develop grit and resilience and increase their motivation. With this knowledge, participants will be able to mentor and motivate youths in their community and organisation.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the training, participants will be able to have an in-depth understanding of:

  • How to apply the growth mindset to develop grit, resilience and motivation
  • The self-determination theory, and how to increase student motivation
