Course Information

Design Thinking has been adopted by some of the world’s leading brands to creatively problem-solve from a human-centred focus in order to create better products and services that are economically viable. This benefits your business by reducing risk and generating revolutionary strategies to meet any challenge.

Learning Outcomes

This two-part hands-on workshop immerses you in the Design Thinking Process. Learn how to identify gaps and problems in work processes and be equipped with effective facilitation techniques to take on team projects for finding solutions. You will gain a sound understanding of the role empathy plays in learning about user needs, and gather insights and evaluate user experience. You will also acquire ideation techniques to come up with creative solutions, seek validation of problems, and develop practical steps to improve from actionable feedback.

Lesson Plan

The first part of the workshop immerses participants in the design thinking process, so as to identify gaps and problems in work processes. The workshop aims is to foster an intrapreneurial mindset by helping participants understand the roles of empathy, user experience, ideation techniques and validation of problems.
The second part of the workshop is hands-on, providing participants with effective facilitation techniques. Trainers will guide participants on how to plan, prepare and deliver design thinking training sessions that are focused and engaging. By carrying out meaningful facilitation tasks, participants will receive actionable feedback and develop practical steps to improve.

Certification

A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).


A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).


Entry Requirements

Applicants should have working proficiency in the English language.

Funding period for this course is from 2 Jun 2020 to 30 Sep 2024.

SkillsFuture Credit
