About Course

Course Objectives

To equip participants for digital marketing job roles including the following (non-exhaustive):
•   Plan and execute web, search engine optimization / marketing, marketing
database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
•   Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on those insights
•   Measure and report performance of digital marketing campaigns, and assess them against goals with Return on Investment and Key Performance Indicator.
•   Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

Course Description

The Specialist Diploma in Digital Branding & Social Media Strategies (SDDBS1) is a part time CET course, consist of the following modules:
1) Creative Content Development (45 hrs)
2) Issues & Crisis Management (45 hrs)
3) Social Media Strategies (60 hrs)
4) Industry-based Project (IBP) - Proposal (60 hrs)
5) Industry-based Project (IBP) - Implementation (90 hrs)

Specialist Diploma in Digital Branding & Social Media Strategies

Post-Diploma Certificate in Digital Branding
Creative Content Development (NP-011937)
This module focuses on how to formulate effective social media content leveraging on storytelling to achieve stated communications objectives. Participants will be taught to use basic tools to craft videos and visuals that resonate emotionally and are aesthetically pleasing.
Integrated Marketing & Brand Management (NP-011935)
This module focuses on how digital media plays an important part in brand development, management and assessment of brands.
Participants will learn how to create synergies and incorporate social media into existing marketing communications/ traditional media mix to up brand value and equity, grow market share and improve the organization's bottom line.
Issues & Crisis Management (NP-011936)
This module explores what constitutes an issue or crisis for organizations and their brand. It will look at how organizations and brands can be better prepared for situations or developments that may pose a threat to their reputations. Participants will learn how to manage and mitigate different levels of risks facing an organization, by harnessing the power of social media.
Post-Diploma Certificate in Social Media Strategies
Campaign Proposal (NP-011941)
In this module, participants will apply their newly-acquired skills and knowledge to develop a Social Media Campaign proposal which includes research, strategy, planning and evaluation. As part of the curriculum requirement, participants will need to submit a log book / final report and do a presentation.
Data Analytics (NP-011939)
Social media analytics is the practice of gathering data from blogs and
social media websites and analyzing that data to make business
decisions. Participants will learn how to use data analytics tools to
evaluate and mine customer sentiments in order to make decisions and support marketing activities.
Social Media Strategies (NP-011938)
Participants will learn strategic planning frameworks used by industry
practitioners and be equipped with the necessary practical skills to effectively apply key social media tools and techniques. Key focus areas comprise key social platforms and their various uses (Google Adword Advertising, Facebook, lnstagram and Linkedln), social media campaign planning, social community development and content strategies.
