Course Objectives
On completion of the module, the students should be able to:1. demonstrate clinical skills to correct presbyopia with different optical options;
2. recommend specialty contact lens options for complex cases; and
3. be aware of refractive surgical techniques that are presently available.
Course Description
Refractive Correction Strategies - Part of Post Diploma Certificate in Community Optometric Practice (SDCO) is a 30 hrs module. This module covers the indications, assessments methods, and management strategies of different refractive correction options (such as specialised contact lenses and ophthalmic lenses, and refractive surgeries). Students will learn the advancements in materials and technology relating to the refractive correction options and their implementation.Course
