About Course

Course Objectives

This 3-day module is designed to empower Data Governance Specialists and Data Engineers by integrating Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Crisis Management principles into their roles. Participants will focus on safeguarding data integrity, ensuring compliance, and developing crisis response plans.

Course Description

This module aims to train learners to:
-Understand the unique challenges of Business Continuity Management in data environments.
-Identify and assess risks specific to data processes and infrastructure.
-Develop a comprehensive Data-Centric Business Continuity Plan tailored to data environment
-Implement strategies to ensure resilience in data infrastructure, including backup and recovery mechanisms.
-Communicate effectively during data-related crises, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
-Test and exercise Data-Centric BCM plans using practical scenarios and simulations.
-Apply crisis management strategies to mitigate the impact of disruptions on data engineering and governance processes.
-Integrate cybersecurity practices into BCM for comprehensive data resilience.
-Anticipate and adapt data-centric BCM strategies to emerging technologies and future trends in data engineering

This 3-day module is designed to empower Data Governance Specialists and Data Engineers by integrating Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Crisis Management principles into their roles. Participants will focus on safeguarding data integrity, ensuring compliance, and developing crisis response plans.
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to learner who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).

A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to learner who meet the 75% attendance requirement.

Entry Requirements

Condition 1

Highest qualification

Possess a minimum Diploma in IT/Computer Science, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business-related disciplines.

Condition 2

Working experience

Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated proficiency in foundational digital literacy, an understanding of basic IT infrastructure and data concepts, and proven analytical and problem-solving skills within an operational or business context. Proficiency in English (written, spoken, reading, and listening) to effectively comprehend complex regulatory and technical course materials, engage in discussions, and communicate findings.

Refund and withdrawal policy

  • Please note that a 100% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted more than or equal to 14 days before the course start date.
  • Please note that a 50% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted less than 14 days before the course start date.
  • Please note that no refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted on or after the course start date.

SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) can only be used to cover:
(i) Course fees payable;
(ii) Assessment fees which are part of the course;
(iii) Certification fees which are part of the course; and
(iv) GST imposed on components supported for SFC use.

Penalty charges apply if you:
(i) are absent/no-show;
(ii) withdraw from a course within 14 days of the course start date;
(iii) fail to meet terms and conditions for funding eligibility.

SFC cannot be used to offset penalty charges imposed by Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
