Course Information

This is a certification program in which participants will obtain a Certification on Accounting Transformation upon completion of 6 courses:

  1. Accounting for Analysis and Decisions
  2. Using MS Excel in Accounting
  3. Performing Cloud-Accounting
  4. Finance-Business Partnering with Data Visualisation
  5. Strengthening Internal Controls with Analytics
  6. Automation of Processes with RPA

The overall program is aimed at equipping bookkeepers with skillset to enable them to chart out their progression paths in view of existing industrial developments causing disruption to job roles. The program provides participants with knowledge and hands-on skills in visualisation, automation, etc. in order to help them stay relevant and employable.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course on Strengthening Internal Controls with Analytics, participants will acquire knowledge on the internal control principles to embed basic internal controls and compliance checks during transaction processing. They will also be able to explain and use data analytics and visualisation tool to apply analytics techniques to assess their accounting transactions to identify and detect non-compliances with internal controls.

Trainer's Profile

Chew Lee Chen

Chew Lee Chen has 10 years of experience in Data Analytics across different industries and business functions. She majored in Information Systems Management and has built up strong technical skills in data analytics, data visualization and machine learning over the years as an IT professional. Lee Chen’s past working experience includes being a Data Analyst in an Accounting firm, Fraud Analytics Manager in Internal Audit, and currently as a Project Manager in a consumer technology company. Lee Chen is passionate about using analytics and automating processes, and loves to share her knowledge with others so as to equip them with the same skill sets. She has curated training materials and conducted multiple training sessions on Data Analytics, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and the use of various tools for over 1,000 participants.

Certification

A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass the assessment.


Participants will further obtain a Certificate on Accounting Transformation upon completion of all 6 courses in the program.

  • Bookkeeping/ Accounting background

Funding period for this course is from 25 Nov 2021 to 30 Sep 2024.

SkillsFuture Credit
