The WSDip in Rehabilitation Care adopts a work-study approach to prepare trainees for a promising career in the Healthcare industry. This programme will allow trainees to learn by doing, and provide them with skills and knowledge in using various therapist-prescribed assessment tools to deliver treatment plans to clients affected by physical injuries, illnesses, developmental disabilities or psychosocial dysfunctions. They will also learn strategies to promote health, wellness and active ageing. On completion of this programme, graduates may take up jobs such as Senior Therapy Assistant.

Session 1/Track 5: Green: Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Sustainable Facilities Management (FM Engineering))

WSP Partner Company: Peak Engineering & Consultancy

The Work-Study Programme, Specialist Diploma Sustainable Facilities Management (FM Engineering) in Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) aims to better prepare polytechnic graduates for the facilities management industry by deepening the skills and knowledge relevant for this industry with additional emphasis on Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC). Students will have to spend one day in Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and study HVAC with students in the degree programme, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Building Services).

Session 1/Track 6: Green: Work-Study Diploma in Arboriculture & Horticulture

WSP Partner Company: BNL Services

The WSDip in Arboriculture & Horticulture adopts a work-study approach to prepare the trainees for a professional career in the Landscape sector. Trainees will be equipped with skills and knowledge to manage arboriculture and horticulture projects, perform greenery management, apply mechanisation and automation technology, develop landscape operation and maintenance programmes, as well as implement safe work practices at the worksite. On completion of this diploma programme, graduates may choose to go on two occupational tracks: Arborist or Horticulturist.

Session 1/Track 7: I4.0: Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Robotics & Automation)

WSP Partner Company: Kinergy Corporation

This 12-month work-study programme is designed for engineering graduates who are interested to delve deeper in advanced manufacturing. It aims to equip participants with the relevant skills to meet the industry demands for trained specialists in robotics and control & automation. Participants will learn how to install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot robotic and automation equipment.

Session 1/Track 8 : Others: Work-Study Certificate Leading to a Diploma in Business Practice (Business Management)

Singapore Polytechnic

This Work-Study Certificate (WSCert) is designed to provide a pathway for fresh graduates from Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to acquire relevant work experience through workplace training and deepen their academic knowledge through structured facilitated learning at the Polytechnic. The course aims to provide participants with foundational skillsets to take on customer service, sales and marketing-related roles across various sectors in the industry, particularly the retail and wholesale trade sectors. Participants can also be awarded the Diploma in Business Practice: Business Management by completing three additional modules.

Session 1/Track 9 : Others: Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Immersive EdTech Design for Learning)

Republic Polytechnic

The education and training landscape has evolved drastically in the recent years, with elements of interactivity such as gamification and mixed realities strongly making their mark in online learning environments. As a result, the demand for Education Technology (EdTech) professionals has grown steadily in educational institutions, corporate training companies, and organisations with inhouse training departments. Course participants will be able to package any subject into engaging EdTech content for intended learners/target audience to effectively achieve desired learning outcomes.

Session 2/Track 1 – Care: Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Wellness Care)

The Specialist Diploma in Veterinary Wellness Care is a 12-month Work-Study Post-Diploma programme targeted primarily at local fresh Polytechnic graduates from relevant full-time applied sciences-related courses of study. It aims to equip participants with skills in veterinary nursing, rehabilitation and physiotherapy. With the increasing focus on complementary and holistic therapies and rehabilitation in the veterinary services, graduates with these skills will be ready to meet the growing needs of this industry.

Session 2/Track 2 – Digital: Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in User Experience Design & Management)

WSP Partner Company: MLA Special Events Pte Ltd

The 12-month Specialist Diploma in User Experience Design & Management at Nanyang Polytechnic is a comprehensive programme that comprises two Post-Diploma Certificates – Post-Diploma Certificate in UX Management and Post-Diploma Certificate in UX Design. This programme is designed to equip participants with essential UX concepts and principles, develop a strong foundation in creating intuitive user-centric designs, effective management of UX projects, and optimise user interactions. Graduates will be empowered to become more versatile, impactful professionals in user experience design and management.

Session 2/Track 3 – Digital: Work-Study Diploma in Cyber Security & Forensics

In today’s connected world, implementing effective cyber security measures is crucial as cyber-attacks are occurring at an alarming rate with the pervasiveness of the Internet and attackers becoming more innovative. The WSDip in Cyber Security & Forensics adopts a work-study approach to prepare the trainees for a professional career in the Cyber Security sector. Trainees will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to manage server and network security infrastructure, perform security assessment and testing, threat detection, incident response, as well as digital forensics operation in accordance with the compliance policy and procedure so as to build resilient defence against cyber-attacks for business. On completion of this programme, graduates may take up jobs such as Associate Cyber Security Engineer.

Session 2/Track 4 – Digital: Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Full Stack Web Development)

Singapore Polytechnic

The Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Full Stack Web Development) Programme is a work-study programme designed to give fresh Infocomm Technology Diploma graduates from polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) a head start in their career. While pursuing a Specialist Diploma, participants will acquire and deepen their skills in full stack web development through structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) under the guidance of a company mentor in the WSP company. In the Specialist Diploma, participants will learn modern web technologies such as Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), React JS, React Native and Node.js to deliver optimised and reliable web solutions. Participants will specialise using JavaScript to develop both the front-end and back-end. Learning JavaScript is a crucial skill for any web developer as it is one of the most popular programming languages. At the end of this course, participants will be able to develop responsive web applications with web services support from the back-end and integrate both the front-end and back-end before hosting it on the cloud.

Session 2/Track 5 – Green: Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Sustainable Built Environment)

Climate change is literally the hot topic nowadays, with much attention given to strategies to achieve “net-zero” by 2050. The concept of net zero is simple – if climate change is caused by carbon dioxide emissions, then we can stop it by not emitting more carbon dioxide and/or by removing from the atmosphere what we emit. The world’s current plan is to transition to “renewables”, plant more trees and hope we can invent high-tech direct air capture devices, and if we do these as well as reduce our burning of fossil fuels, then hopefully we can reach “net zero” by around 2050 and stop global warming. Catherine Loke will give us a holistic overview of the challenges we face and how we need to deal with our current predicament through a systems approach – understand how we got here, understand how things are interrelated, and understand what it means to be sustainable. Be prepared to challenge your assumptions, broaden your perspective and question current “green” solutions!

Session 2/Track 6 – I4.0: Work-Study Post-Diploma (Specialist Diploma in Analytical Science)

This Work-Study Post Diploma is designed to give fresh polytechnic graduates a career head-start as Lab Analysts in the Analytical Science industries. Deepen your knowledge and skills in analytical techniques such as Gas Chromatography, High/Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Quality Assurance & Quality Control, Environmental Testing and Management of Hazardous Substances. Upon completion of the programme, participants will be poised for success in a job function that is critical to many companies in the chemical and pharmaceutical sector.

Session 2/Track 7 – Others: Work-Study Certificate (WSQ Advanced Certificate in Retail (Operations))
