About Course

Course Objectives

This module aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to perform routine laboratory analysis and administrative work. Topics relevant to a career in analytical science such as laboratory housekeeping, quality documentation, sample analysis and QA/QC procedures will be covered. Participants will complete an assignment which requires them to analyse and reflect on the skills and competencies of an analytical science-related job.

This module aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to perform routine laboratory analysis and administrative work. Entry Requirements


Requirement(s)
•   Local Polytechnic Diploma in science or engineering with a chemistry component (e.g. life science, chemical science, chemical engineering)
or
•   University Degree in science or engineering with a chemistry component (e.g. life science, chemical science, chemical engineering)


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness.

Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test.

The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
