Course Objectives

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) SkillsFuture Career Transition Program equips participants with essential skills to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products. The course covers key QA concepts, including test planning, execution, and reporting, with a focus on both manual and automated testing techniques.

It will involve four modules which are already SSG-approved: (1) Programming in Python I, (2) Scrum Preparation Course, (3) Software Quality Assurance Basics and (4) Software Quality Assurance Advanced.

Course Description

Participants will gain hands-on experience with popular testing tools, learn how to identify and document defects, and understand best practices for maintaining software quality throughout the development lifecycle. The program also addresses the integration of QA processes with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

(SCTP Module) Programming in Python I (NP-CTSQA1PYT1-FAS)

The participants will understand programming syntax of Python, write python programs to solve simple problems, organize python programs into functions for better code reusability and use libraries and call APIs to expand functionality of python program.

(SCTP Module) Scrum Preparation Course (NP-CTSQA2SPC-FAS)

The Scrum Preparation Course provides participants with the knowledge of agile management principles and different techniques to deal with uncertainty and a fast-changing business environment.

(SCTP Module) Software Quality Assurance Advanced (NP-CTSQA4SQAA-FAS)

This course builds upon the Software Quality Assurance Basics course and delves deeper into the topic of software quality assurance.

(SCTP Module) Software Quality Assurance Basics (NP-CTSQA3SQAB-FAS)

This course provides a foundation for learners aspiring to pick up software quality assurance skills.

This SCTP is only offered as a bundle of 4 modules, hence learners must complete and pass all 4 modules in order to be awarded the Certificate of Completion in (SCTP) Software Quality Assurance (Classroom & Asynchronous e-learning) (Full-Time) (TA-eligible):

Refund and withdrawal policy

Please note that a 100% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted more than or equal to 14 days before the course start date.
Please note that a 50% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted less than 14 days before the course start date.
Please note that no refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted on or after the course start date.

SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) can only be used to cover:
(i) Course fees payable;
(ii) Assessment fees which are part of the course;
(iii) Certification fees which are part of the course; and
(iv) GST imposed on components supported for SFC use.

Penalty charges apply if you:
(i) are absent/no-show;
(ii) withdraw from a course within 14 days of the course start date;
(iii) fail to meet terms and conditions for funding eligibility.

SFC cannot be used to offset penalty charges imposed by Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
