Advanced Diploma in Accountancy

Post-Diploma Certificate in Accounting Practice
Industry Practicum 1 (NP-011488)
This module encompasses 180 hours of industry practicum in accounting, auditing or taxation under the supervision of an approved mentor in an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) over a minimum period of 18 months. Students must gain full-time employment with an ATO and fulfil the required practicum training hours and minimum employment period in order to complete the module.

Post-Diploma Certificate in Advanced Financial Reporting & Assurance
Advanced Financial Reporting (NP-011484)
This module provides students with sound knowledge of the Conceptual Framework and the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) to produce a complete set of consolidated financial statements for simple groups, including basic notes to the accounts. Students will also be able to explain the treatment and disclosure of hedge accounting, demonstrating appropriate professional judgment.
Assurance (NP-011485)
This module provides students with sound knowledge of the nature, purpose, and scope of assurance engagements. Students will be able to demonstrate how an auditor obtains an understanding of the entity, plans and performs audit procedures, collects and documents evidence, and presents reports for statutory audits in accordance with the Singapore Standards on Auditing and Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics.
Post-Diploma Certificate in Financial Management & Accounting for Decision Making
Accounting for Decision Making (NP-011487)
This module develops management accounting techniques for planning, control, and decision-making. The key focus is on analysis of relevant information for decision-making by management. Upon completion of the module, students will have gained practical knowledge through the application of various strategic management accounting tools and techniques.
Financial Management (NP-011486)
This module provides students with knowledge and skills to manage the finance function of a business. The module will delve into the scope of finance, working capital management and the cost of capital. Students will be exposed to different investment appraisal techniques and business valuation models. Key risk-management elements and other business finance issues will also be explored.
Post-Diploma Certificate in Financial Reporting & Tax
Principles of Financial Reporting (NP-011482)
This module provides students with knowledge of the Conceptual Framework and the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) to produce a complete set of financial statements for single entities, including basic notes to the accounts. Students will also be able to explain and advise on the application of the SFRS, demonstrating appropriate professional judgment.
Singapore Taxation (NP-011483)
This module equips students with the core knowledge of the underlying principles and major technical areas of taxation through a variety of business and personal scenarios and situations. Upon completion of this module, students should be able to compute tax liabilities, explain the basis of their calculations, apply ethical tax-planning techniques for individuals and companies, and identify the compliance issues for each major tax type.
