Course Information
This is a certification program in which participants will obtain a Certification in Accounting Transformation upon completion of 6 courses:
- Accounting for Analysis and Decisions
- Using MS Excel in Accounting
- Performing Cloud-Accounting
- Finance-Business Partnering with Data Visualisation
- Strengthening Internal Controls with Analytics
- Automation of Processes with RPA
The overall program is aimed at equipping bookkeepers with skillset to enable them to chart out their progression paths in view of existing industrial developments causing disruption to job roles. The program provides participants with knowledge and hands-on skills in visualisation, automation, etc. in order to help them stay relevant and employable.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course on Automation of Processes with RPA, participants will acquire knowledge on assessing business processes and identifying opportunities for automation. They will also learn the various functionalities and features of an automation software (UiPath) and develop RPA robots independently.

Lesson Plan
Session 1: (6 hours)
- Introduction to RPA (E-Learning :2 hours Asynchronous)
- Introduction to UiPath robotic automation software
- Create your RPA robots (F2F: 4 hours on a weekday morning):
- Automating a simple data entry process
- Learn the web scrapping, data extraction wizard and integration with Excel activities.
Session 2: (6 hours)
- Understand workflows & opportunity assessment (E-Learning: 2 hours Asynchronous)
- Create your RPA robots (F2F: 4 hours on a weekday morning):
- Moving files and Email automation
- Excel automation
Session 3: (6 hours)
- Role of a robotic operating team in automation initiatives (E-Learning: 2 hours Asynchronous)
- Create your RPA robots (F2F: 4 hours on a weekday morning):
- Invoice Automation using PDF Invoice Data Scrapping
- Invoice Automation using OCR
Session 4: (6 hours)
- Evaluating the Automation implementation (E-Learning: 2 hours Asynchronous)
- Create your RPA robots (F2F: 4 hours on a weekday morning):
- Automating Sales Reporting
- Automating Audit sample selection
Trainer's Profile
Rahyu holds a degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. She has worked for international accounting firm and was also a Tax Specialist with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. She has more than 15 years of experience offering tax consultative advice and compliance matters for multinational companies, local public listed groups, private corporate clients and individual clients. Currently, Rahyu is a Senior Manager with Ngee Ann Polytechnic, School of Business and Accountancy where she oversees and ensure academic quality for taxation and internship modules. In recognition for her teaching excellence, she was also awarded Staff Teaching Award.
Wilson holds a degree in Business specialising in Banking & Finance from the Nanyang Technological University and a CA (Singapore) qualification. He has worked for a Big Four firm as a senior associate before joining academia. Currently, Wilson is a lecturer with Ngee Ann Polytechnic, School of Business & Accountancy, where he has taught in both PET and CET courses. Besides core modules covering Auditing, Cost & Managerial Accounting and Service-Learning, he has taught courses on Fraud Awareness and Data Storytelling.
Certification
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass the assessment.
Participants will further obtain a Certificate on Accounting Transformation upon completion of all 6 courses in the program.

Funding period for this course is from 25 Nov 2021 to 30 Sep 2024.
SkillsFuture Credit

GST Increment in 2024
