Comprehensive eye examinations are crucial for a child, as the brain learns to accommodate undetected eye problems which may lead to many issues for the child in all areas of life. Providing high-quality eye-care can help to avoid such problems and allow your child to reach their highest ability.
Learning Outcomes
Refresh your knowledge on the tests involved in binocular and pediatric vision assessment. This course provides you with the skills you need to detect binocular and pediatric vision abnormalities, and how to manage binocular and pediatric vision disorders.
- Identify binocular vision disorders in primary eye-care practice
- Learn now to evaluate ocular alignment, vergence and accommodation system
- Conduct eye examination on young children

Certification
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).
A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).
Entry Requirements
Have valid practicing license from Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB), Singapore.
Course Fees
Funding period for this course is from 1 Jul 2023 to 30 Sep 2024.
SkillsFuture Credit
