Course Information
Facilities Management is an interdisciplinary business function, which aims to coordinate the demand and supply of facilities and services within a built environment.
In this age of environmental concerns, facility manager not only plays an important role in sustainable issues, which required to them to look for new designs and technologies that use less energy and resources for maintaining the facilities but also to ensure the health and safety of the building’s occupants.

Learning Outcomes
Build your skillset with the technologies required to manage building operations and services such as air-conditioning, lighting, electrical and security systems.
Learn to manage property and assets, green buildings and gain insight to smart building operations.
You will also learn the various types of risks management, fire hazards and fire safety measures for facilities management.

You are required to complete 2 post-diploma certificates within 2-year validity period to be awarded the Diploma (Conversion) qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

Funding period for this course is from 1 Oct 2019 to 30 Sep 2024.

SkillsFuture Credit
This course is eligible for SkillsFuture Credit.
All Singaporeans aged 25 years and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit from the government to pay for a wide range of courses. The credits can be used on top of existing course fee subsidies/funding. This is only applicable for self-sponsored applicants and must be applied via the SkillsFuture Portal.
