Course Information

The objective of the course is to give practicing professionals an overall view and approach to the design, installation, operation and testing of the jet fan system as an alternative to a ducted system in a car park environment.

Jet Fan systems are recognized as an alternative for car park smoke purging systems in both the Building Control Authority (BCA) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) submissions. The use of jet fans in the Singapore building landscape belies the need for a solution for spaces with limited headroom and the need for the lesser use of ducts and cost optimization. Both energy efficiency and a tenable build environment through the use of carbon monoxide sensors coupled with timer and life safety through the purging of smoke during fire fulfils the need for building owners and professionals for such an alternative.

Who should attend?
