Mushrooms have high nutritional and medicinal values. Mushroom business is inexpensive and large quantity of mushrooms can be produced in a small space.
This 3-day mushroom cultivation course introduces on how to grow edible mushrooms at home, and on a commercial scale.
You will learn about culture maintenance, substrate preparation, application of IoT for monitoring & maintenance, pest & disease management, and the business aspect of setting and running a mushroom farm, marketing opportunities and business strategies.

Trainer's Profile
Seahmala Muniandy is a lecturer at School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology, Ngee Ann Polytechnic. She has a Specialist Diploma in Molecular Biotechnology and a degree in Horticultural Science. She has more than 7 years of experience in teaching and 15 years of working experience in landscaping and horticulture maintenance. Seahmala is also a certified practicing Horticulturist (CPH) and holds a WDA Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA). She also has skill sets in turf management gained through working on a golf course.
Leong William is a Mushroom Grower in Singapore and Thailand. He holds a DEEP MUSHROOMS CULTIVATION CERTIFICATE and a MEDICINAL MUSHROOM CULTIVATION CERTIFICATE. With his deeply in “LOVE” and passion for mushrooms, he quickly developed his knowledge of mushrooms cultivation over a short period of time, especially on edible and medicinal mushrooms. He currently owns a 17,000 sqft of a commercially-grown mushroom farm at Phuket.
Certification
For courses with assessment, a Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement and pass all required assessment(s). A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who meet the 75% attendance requirement but did not pass all required assessment(s).

SkillsFuture Credit
