Course Information

Asia’s events market is estimated to be worth half a trillion dollars by mid-2026, according to Allied Market Research. In the post-Covid world where virtual and hybrid events have become mainstream, this course will equip event professionals to keep pace with the evolving needs of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).

Day 1

Intro to virtual production (theory)
• Client scope/requirements (theory)
• Network infrastructure on NDI/Dante connections (theory)
• Selecting streaming platforms/microsites/hosting VOD (theory)

Pre-production
• Show Rundown/Planning a cue-sheet (theory & practical)
• Prep Speaker Onboarding (theory & practical)
• Rehearsals / Prerecording (practical)

Day 2

Production Part 1
• Intro to Audio & Coms /sound checks (theory & practical)
• Lighting Features (practical)
• Video standards (theory)
• Intro to TriCaster (theory)

Production Part 2
• Building the virtual set (theory/practical)

Day 3

Live Stream – Full day, hands-on session where we will execute the production and stream.

Break into teams for:
• Technical checks
• Onboarding/Pipping
• Streaming

Trainer's Profile

Lim Hsien Yong

Lim Hsien Yong is an audio-visual professional with 11 years of experience for large-scale, indoor and online events. He has conducted numerous seminars and workshops on digital media, while training the next generation of professional content creators at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. He was the technical director for Tedx Singapore “The Undiscovered Country” held at NTU in 2015. Hsien Yong earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film & Television) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Certification

Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who achieve at least 75% attendance.

Individuals with or without any knowledge of virtual events are welcome to apply.

Course Fees

Funding period for this course is from 25 Jan 2022 to 30 Sep 2024.

SkillsFuture Credit

GST Increment in 2024
