Upskill estate agents to deepen the understanding of and combat money-laundering and terrorist financing risk related to property transactions.Course Description
A. Overview of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing in Real Estate Sector- How is money laundering and terrorist financing conducted in Real Estate Sector
- Legal Requirement imposed on Real Estate agents from legislatures such as Corruption, Drug Trafficking and other Serious Crimes Act, Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act
B. How does Real Estate agents conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
- How to verify client’s identity for property transactions
- How to screen clients and beneficial owners
- How to deal with clients with higher risk (such as Politically Exposed Personnel)
- Enhanced CDD for Higher Risk property transactions
- Reliance on Third Parties to conduct CDD
C. How to complete the checklists (and other related forms) as part of discharging the responsibility to conduct CDD
D. How to detect suspicious transaction (including leveraging on artificial intelligence and machine learning) and file a Suspicious Transaction Report

Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing for Real Estate Agents
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to learner who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all required assessment(s).
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to learner who meet the 75% attendance requirement.
Upon completion of this course, participants will earn 4 Professional Competencies Credits under the current CPD cycle ending 30 September 2025.
From 1 October 2025, participants will be awarded 8 Training Hours under the new CPD cycle as part of Project Adept.
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to learner who meet the 75% attendance requirement.

Refund and withdrawal policy
- Please note that a 100% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted more than or equal to 14 days before the course start date.
- Please note that a 50% refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted less than 14 days before the course start date.
- Please note that no refund will be available if the withdrawal request is submitted on or after the course start date.
Remarks
SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) can only be used to cover:
(i) Course fees payable;
(ii) Assessment fees which are part of the course;
(iii) Certification fees which are part of the course; and
(iv) GST imposed on components supported for SFC use.
Penalty charges apply if you:
(i) are absent/no-show;
(ii) withdraw from a course within 14 days of the course start date;
(iii) fail to meet terms and conditions for funding eligibility.
SFC cannot be used to offset penalty charges imposed by Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
